Ultrasound Gel

Ultrasound gel is a clear, water-based conductive medium applied to the skin before HIFU treatment, and it’s essential rather than optional — without it, ultrasound energy reflects off the skin’s surface instead of transmitting into the tissue. Air is a poor conductor of ultrasound waves, so even a thin gap between the device’s cartridge and the skin can scatter energy, reduce effectiveness at the target depth, and make treatment uncomfortable. A generous, even layer of gel eliminates that air gap, allowing energy to pass smoothly from the cartridge into the skin and reach the intended focal depth as intended, while also helping the handpiece glide across the skin rather than dragging. ULTRAISER’s Ultrasound Gel is formulated for use with the P1, P1 Pro, and eHM15 devices; other cosmetic ultrasound gels can be used if ULTRAISER’s own isn’t immediately available, though matching viscosity and conductivity is worth checking.
