Myth vs Reality – 3 Non-Surgical Anti-Aging Treatments That Really Work

It’s no secret that the signs of aging can be a source of insecurity for a lot of women, from fine lines, to sagging skin and wrinkles – there are thousands of products aimed at combatting these tell-tale signs. However, how many of these options really work? In this article, we’ve put together some anti-aging treatments that are backed by the cold, hard facts.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is the often-forgotten friend of the skin. There is a wide amount of scientific study concluding that regular use of sunscreen can help to minimise the physical effects of aging. Particularly when outdoors, using a high-SPF (preferably above SPF 30) is important to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Incorporating regular use of SPF into your daily skincare routine will have a noticeable impact on the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of ageing.

Retinol

Retinol is a type of retinoid, made from Vitamin A. In contrast to many other anti-aging products, retinol does not work by removing dead skills but by increasing the production of collagen and stimulating the production of new blood vessels in the skin. The increase in production of collagen helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as fading age spots and softening rough patches of skin. Research has shown that 3-6 months of regular use can lead to improvements in the appearance of wrinkles with the best results taking place between 6 and 12 months.

ULTRAISER P1

Ultraiser released the ULTRAISER P1 to help its users improve the appearance of their skin. From tightening sagging skin on the neck to lifting the cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids and smoothing the skin, the portable focused ultrasound machine has all the benefits of a face lift packed into a portable device. The ULTRAISER P1 improves the appearance of the skin by using ultrasound energy to stimulate production of collagen, leading to firm, elastic, skin. In contrast to a surgical face lift, the ULTRAISER P1 makes no incisions, no scarring and is completely non-invasive and painless.  Clinical trials have shown that focused ultrasound is safe and effective for facial lifting with positive results showing just months after treatment, making it a safe alternative to surgical face lifts.
